Family & Healing

Loving where you come from while questioning the patterns you don't want to carry forward.

Family can be the warmest place and the hardest place at the same time. You can love your people deeply and still notice the things that hurt you — the silence around feelings, the pressure to be grateful, the patterns that get passed down like heirlooms nobody asked for.

Healing doesn't mean rejecting where you come from. It means looking at it honestly: keeping what nourishes you, and gently setting down what doesn't. That's not betrayal. That's care — for yourself, and often for the people who come after you.

A lot of us were raised by people who were surviving, not people who had the luxury of processing. Understanding that can soften things without excusing them. Both can be true: they did their best, and their best sometimes left marks.

This space is for the conversations we weren't always given at home — about forgiveness, boundaries, grief, and what it means to build something healthier without burning everything down.

you're not the only one carrying this ♡
